Dr. John Venzor is board-certified in Internal Medicine and serves as the Medical Director and co-founder of Vyta.co. He has spent more than 15 years practicing acute care medicine in the Tampa Bay area, caring for tens of thousands of patients in person and thousands more through telehealth.
A graduate of A.T. Still University — Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and a residency-trained internist from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, Dr. Venzor brings a whole-person philosophy to every case. At Vyta.co, he oversees clinical protocols, reviews patient consultations, and helps ensure that care decisions are guided by each patient's health history, current symptoms, treatment goals, and clinical appropriateness.
As Vyta.co grew from an idea into an active multi-state telehealth practice, Dr. Venzor was deeply involved in developing its care model, operational processes, and AI-supported clinical workflows. His perspective brings together daily patient care, telehealth operations, and practical coding and AI knowledge — connecting clinical judgment with software systems that support safer, clearer patient workflows.
Vyta.co was built by a physician who also understands software — with a conviction that AI-supported workflows and clinical technology, done carefully, can make care more accessible without replacing the judgment patients deserve.
Vyta.co uses AI-supported workflows to organize intake information, surface relevant clinical signals, and reduce administrative friction — but treatment decisions remain physician-led and based on each patient's clinical context.
Most telehealth platforms are built by tech companies that hired doctors. Vyta.co was built by a physician who writes software — which means the clinical workflow, the intake design, and the patient experience were all shaped by someone who has actually practiced medicine.
Dr. Venzor's interest in AI is practical and operational. From intake review to protocol design, Vyta.co reflects an ongoing effort to use emerging technology in ways that support clinician judgment, patient safety, and clearer care workflows.
Dr. Venzor's qualifications, board certifications, and clinical background — everything you'd want to know before your first consultation.
Dr. Venzor personally reviews the clinical protocols behind every Vyta.co treatment. When you complete your intake, a licensed clinician — not an algorithm — evaluates your health history and determines whether treatment is appropriate for you.
