What happens when I need to be examined in person?

Fair question, and the answer is built into how we work. Most of primary care is history, judgment, labs, and follow-through, and all of that happens fine over video. For the part that needs hands or equipment, you get a specific plan, not a shrug.

No. It is a medical practice you pay directly. It works well alongside a high-deductible plan or no insurance at all, but it does not cover hospitals, emergencies, or care from other providers. We recommend keeping coverage for the big stuff.
Pairs well with a high-deductible plan
If you only ever need a one-off visit, don't. The membership is for ongoing care: daily medications, blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, mood, an annual review, and a doctor who already knows you when something happens. Different job, different price.
Two visits already cost more than a month of membership
Yes. Messages go to your physician, and you will normally hear back the same day or the next business day. For emergencies, call 911. That part of medicine has not changed.
